Essays due by Saturday, March 17, 2012
All youth, including the 2012 slam team and past slam team members, interested in attending the 2012 Brave New Voices International Teen Poetry Festival & Slam in San Francisco must write an essay on what the trip means to them.

 

Students should discuss the following:
1. Their involvement in and dedication to PYPM
2. Why they want to attend the festival
3. How the trip will impact their lives
4. How they will use their experience to create change within PYPM and the community upon their return

Essays must adhere to the following requirements:
1. Must be 1,000-1,200 words
2. Must be typed in Times New Roman, 12 pt. font., double-spaced
3. Must demonstrate creativity and thoughtful reflection

At the top of your essay, please include:
- First and Last name 
- School 
- Grade 
- Age 
- Email Address

Essays should be emailed as an attachment to info@pypm215.org as a Microsoft Word, WordPad or Works Document.

Final Team and Entourage selection is contingent on meeting minimum 2.7 GPA requirement and parental consent for students under 18 years of age.

All Team and Entourage members are required to participant in fundraising efforts.
